Parental Rights and Responsibilities/Custody
If you have minor children, we discuss parenting and residence of your children and the payment of child support. We listen carefully to your description of your family history, your hopes for the future and then, with you, we create a plan to meet your goals.
Division of Assets and Debts
In a divorce, you will have to divide the assets and debts of your marriage. We will work with you to compile a list of your marital assets and debts and to formulate a proposal for the division of those assets and debts. Assets may include real estate; tangible assets, like vehicles and personal property; and intangible assets, like bank accounts, investment accounts, and retirement accounts. Debts may include mortgage loans, vehicle loans, credit cards, and school loans for you, your spouse, and/or your children.
Our focus is always based on your goals.
If you have a need for spousal support, we assist you in determining how to present a proposal on that issue. Establishing a proposal for spousal support is more than just a math problem. The decision involves many issues, including, but not limited to, your ability to earn income, your spouse’s ability to earn income, and your need for short-term and long-term financial security.
